Reports to Fursuit Director

Volunteer Position (non-payed)

On-site in the Denver Metropolitan Area (Colorado)


Description

Fursuit Makers are the backbone of our event. You'll be collaborating with other Fursuit Makers to create fursuits during our livestream event. The fursuits made will be auctioned off at a convention charity auction, where all proceeds raised will go toward that convention's benefiting charity.


Responsibilities

  • Attend the in-person livestream event and assist with making fursuits
  • Provide your own tools and equipment (scissors, blades, markers, sewing needles, etc.)
  • Be able to donate furs and other supplies for the fursuits
  • Attend Pursuit Maker specific meetings
  • Collaborate with the Fursuit Maker team


Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience running and operating a fursuit business
  • Can quickly tackle fursuit-related tasks
  • Works well with others and can take direction
  • Creative in nature and willing to share ideas


Livestreaming Requirement

The entire fursuit-making process will be the key attraction of our livestream event. As such, all of our Fursuit Makers will need to be comfortable being recorded and livestreamed. Our Fursuit Makers should also be prepared to be interviewed about their current progress and processes.


Social Media & Marketing

Fursuit Makers will be featured on marketing materials to help promote the event. We also gladly welcome you to utilize our event on your resume, portfolio, or website. Because this is a volunteer-based event for charity, we want to ensure that you are well supported and receive fair attribution. 


About Meetings

We typically have a monthly open-door leadership meeting to discuss progress and plan for the livestream (attendance isn't required but we strongly encourage all of our staff to attend). Meetings and efforts specific to the Fursuit Makers team will be organized and managed by the Fursuit Director.

Description

Fursuit Assistant are the lifelines of our Fursuit Makers. You'll be assisting our Fursuit Makers with various steps in the process during the livestream, such as hand-sewing, clean-up, running errands, and other tasks as needed. The fursuits made will be auctioned off at a convention charity auction, where all proceeds raised will go toward that convention's benefiting charity.


Responsibilities

  • Attend the in-person livestream event and assist with making fursuits
  • Provide your own tools and equipment (scissors, blades, markers, sewing needles, etc.)
  • Be able to donate furs and other supplies for the fursuits
  • Attend Pursuit Maker specific meetings
  • Collaborate with the Fursuit Maker team

  • Any amount of experience with fursuit making
  • Works well with others and can take direction
  • Creative in nature and willing to share ideas
  • Able to do a variety of tasks that aim to help Fursuit Makers during the livestream

Reports to Production Director

Volunteer Position (non-payed)

On-site in the Denver Metropolitan Area (Colorado)


Description

Our Production Team and IT gurus are our saviors. We deal with a lot of camera, lighting, audio, software, and hardware (we're doing a livestream FYI), and we'll need all the help we can get with setup and problem solving.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Production Team to plan technical setup of livestream
  • Provide on-site live problem-solving to quickly resolve common hardware and software issues
  • Be able to bring some common equipment (HDMI cables, charging gables, computer, etc)


Recommended Qualifications

  • Familiarity working with computers, cables, and controls
  • Familiarity with video equipment and livestream setup is a HUGE plus
  • Able to manage lots of in-the-moment requests
  • Can work great with others and takes direction well
